California Corporate College – Creation and Mission
The California Corporate College (CA CC) is a cooperative venture of California’s Community Colleges. Created in 2009 as project assigned to the Chancellor’s Office, our mission is to provide a single point-of-contact for business, governmental agencies, and associations to access training and workforce development services throughout California.
What We Do
By leveraging the subject matter experts and workplace-specific curriculum of the statewide community college system, we deliver workplace training and education that improves employee performance, meets business’ strategic goals, and develops California’s workforce talent. To meet our clients’ specific training needs, we work closely with our college members’ experienced, highly-credentialed, subject matter experts who can deliver customized training across myriad industry sectors and levels of training—from entry level to “C” Suite.
Whether your training needs are regional, statewide or national, the mission of the California Corporate College is to make the delivery of employee training programs to multiple locations throughout California and beyond a smooth, efficient experience for your organization. To accomplish this, we act as a single point-of-contact to coordinate and manage the vast resources and expertise of the entire California Community College system into a consistent, seamless employee training solution. We can provide to your organization the experienced, highly credentialed, subject matter experts who can deliver custom programs across myriad industry sectors and levels of training—from entry level to “C” Suite—making us the most dynamic and agile solutions provider in the state.
Our clients include The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, CalHR, Edwards Lifesciences, Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, Pacific Gas & Electric, Richard Heath and Associates, Inc.—on behalf of Covered California, Sam’s Club, the Washoe Tribe of Nevada and California TANF, and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
An Example of What We Do
PG&E contracted with California Corporate College to develop hybrid and electric vehicle maintenance training programs to be delivered and implemented at seven locations in Northern California. College districts participating in the PG&E training project included Los Rios, Butte-Glenn, Peralta, Hartnell, San Jose-Evergreen, Santa Rosa, and San Joaquin-Delta. CA CC managed a single contract and the training resources provided by all seven colleges participating the project.
